22nd March at 7pm Pledge Assembly at St Botolph’s Church, Colchester.
Please join us for a special event to acknowledge the huge number of pledges that have been made to support refugee families coming to Colchester. The Pledge Assembly seeks to recognise the generosity of different faith groups, local businesses, local people, councillors, volunteers, professionals and many others who have already pledged to provide for these families in some way.
There will also be the opportunity to make further pledges. These can be very simple but meaningful things like providing transport, offering hospitality, donating furniture, offering learning opportunities for refugees, the list goes on.
For those of you who have been wondering, “Who cares about what’s going on in the world?”, come and see for yourselves. A lot of people in our community care; a new, stronger community is being built. Please come and celebrate it!
